A leading wholesale and retail enterprise serving millions of customers and businesses across Southeast Asia needed to modernize its enterprise reporting platform to support continued growth and digital transformation.
As reporting demand increased, its legacy Oracle Exalogic environment had become increasingly difficult to scale, maintain, and support. Aging infrastructure introduced operational risk, while limiting the organization’s ability to meet growing business needs and embrace future analytics initiatives.
The challenge extended beyond infrastructure modernization. More than 261 business-critical BI Publisher schedules and the underlying Oracle Database 11.2 environment needed to be migrated and upgraded to Oracle 19c—all without disrupting day-to-day operations or supplier communications. The objective was not simply to migrate to the cloud, but to establish a resilient, scalable reporting platform capable of supporting future analytics, intelligent automation, and AI-driven innovation.
YCOTEK led the end-to-end modernization of the enterprise reporting platform, designing a cloud migration strategy that minimized business risk while creating a foundation for future growth.
Using a lift-and-shift approach, the team migrated the reporting environment to Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) while upgrading to OBIEE 12.2.1.4 and Oracle Database 19c. To accommodate fluctuating reporting workloads, YCOTEK implemented dynamic OCPU auto-scaling, enabling the platform to scale up to 100 OCPUs during peak demand.
Comprehensive validation, performance benchmarking, and report reconciliation ensured every report was migrated accurately, allowing business users to continue operating without interruption throughout the transition.
The modernization successfully transformed a legacy reporting environment into a scalable, cloud-native platform built for long-term growth.
YCOTEK completed the migration with zero disruption to business operations while successfully transitioning 261+ enterprise reporting schedules and maintaining 100% reporting performance parity within the agreed threshold. The organization also eliminated the risks associated with unsupported infrastructure while significantly improving scalability, operational resilience, and workload flexibility.
More importantly, the new platform provides a trusted foundation for enterprise analytics, intelligent automation, and future AI adoption—enabling the organization to continue evolving its data capabilities with confidence.
Reducing cloud waste and building a scalable governance framework for long-term operational efficiency.
Empowering business users to access enterprise intelligence through natural language instead of dashboards.
Turning high-volume retail data into reliable, real-time business intelligence across hundreds of stores.
Creating a trusted data foundation that enables self-service analytics and future AI adoption at scale.
